Accompanying Event of Tbilisi Biennale of Stage Design
The Regional Forum of Young Performing and Visual Artists included two lecture-master classes and two round table discussions led by international experts.
During the round table, the participants from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia were able to share their experiences and brainstorm on the problems that are similar all over the region, and discuss the opportunities of the large-scale international projects and events.
Participants from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia held mini-presentations on the specific issues of contemporary art, stage design and production.

Tbilisi Biennale of Stage Design was initiated by the Valerian Gunia Union of Young Theatre Artists – the OISTAT National Center of Georgia in 2016.
The Biennale aims to build conditions for professional development of young stage designers and for intercultural dialogue.
The Biennale is a unique platform created for young scenographers and enabling them to present themselves and their projects; to review and assess the process ongoing in this field of art, to share their creative ideas, to arrange professional discussions, to plan and develop joint projects.
Tbilisi Biennale included an international exhibition and the educational program Masters’ Lab.
Regional Forum of Young Performing and Visual Artists was an associated event held within the framework of the Biennale.

On 11-18 October 2018, the Second Edition of Tbilisi Biennale of Stage Design will be held by Valerian Gunia Union of Young Theatre Artists – the OISTAT National Centre of Georgia.
Georgia will host young scenographers and artists from Canada, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia and Hungary. The Biennale consists of two main parts: International Exhibition and Masters’ Lab.
Two Georgian expositions will be presented at the International Exhibition – a Youth Pavilion and Gogi Meskhishvili’s School of Design.
Within the framework of Masters’ Lab, the Biennale’s educational programme, international experts will deliver lectures and master classes in the fields of scenography, curating, sound and light design in post-dramatic theatre, video and multimedia art and visual engineering...

On June 18- 29, 2015 at PQ15 Georgia came out in the main Countries and Regions Section with the national pavilion “Woman’s Voice”.
The subject was selected based on the analysis within the framework of “Reality and Dream” /2013-2014/. The survey has revealed that in the last decade, the share of women in Georgian scenography has radically increased. In 2013 Valeian Gunia Union of Young Theatre Artists (YTA UNION) became a full member of OISTAT.
On September 5-15, 2013 in Cardiff (Wales, UK) was held the OISTAT International Forum WSD2013 /www.wsd2013.com/ and World Congress, where the voting for full membership of aspirant members (including Georgia) took place.
